Vaz Te ahead of him? That can't be it. Anyone know a specific reason?

Because we now have good competition for places?

Do you reckon you might actually drag yourself to a game if this continues, Sold?

Good to have you around to point that out, Sold0, son.

If we set up like that and ATTEMPT to play in that way you will find virtually everyone will not have a problem with BFS... especially the mug punters who have paid out massive dollars since he's been here... the paying fans deserve decent football... it's been far from decent since he has come but last night was a complete turnaround in teh way we was set up to the way we improved as a FOOTBALLING outfit... been a long long time since I have gone to bed with a semi smile (re: West ham)... I did last night... more of the same you obese fish eating freak...

Sold

whilst that is true you also have to factor into account that one game was home and one away, we all know that die hard away fans are often a different bunch to the happy clappers/booers that turn up (some infrequently) for home games.

From a neutral's point of view, their first goal was a cracker. Good passing, great cross, great header. Sometimes you just have to doff your cap.

Their second was a comedy of errors, Cresswell's poor throw-in, Kayoute's lamentable control and Tomkins' pathetic backing-off making them all culpable. And yes, as others have said, Tomkins and Reid were poor all night, often failing to clear their lines.

I'm also a bit dubious about Zarate. He looks like another Morrison to me, lightweight, all flash and little substance. Downing hates him already - watch the multiple teapots in the second half as Zarate wasted opportunity after opportunity

But to be more positive, Downing himself was superb - no wonder he was blowing hard after 75 minutes. He has the speed of thought that makes him ideal for his role last night.

Kayoute is a monster, but was also blowing after 70 minutes or so. Sakho looked excellent to me. He worked his nuts off all game and produced lots of good crosses. And that was never an own goal.

tbh honest, I was calling for Valencia to be subbed moments before he scored. He did fuck all in the first half but seemed absolutely galvanised by his goal. If he can score a goal like that every week he can carry on as he is.

I also loved to style of play and the character shown in fighting back twice and looking the more likely winners by the end.

`but it was the West Ham way. It was entertaining and it had a spark about it`.

Agreed.... amazing that people are buzzing after a 2-2 draw rather than for example the WIN v Hull last year... it's NOT always about the result... we are a forgiving bunch IF you attempt to try and do what we seem as the right way to play the game...

Good game but as usual the media slag us off - wanking over Diame scoring against us and wanking over we've only had 2 wins in 10.

Talk about negative!

I can't remember the last time we played as we did last night, passion, commitment, quality on the deck football, looking forward to a repeat performance when I'll be in the East stand upper when we play QPR on the 5th.

This game is what it is all about.

We drew and fair enough we all want a win, but we played a cracking game. Disappointing that we conceded and there are questions to be answered in relation to the defence and our keeper, but it was the West Ham way. It was entertaining and it had a spark about it.

Look at Downing, who would've thought he would play like that.

Sakho and Valencia, a good understanding even though Sakho played winger.

Then there was Song who brought in tempo. We had characters out there with flair and tempo. Some of the players lagged behind, Kouyate was a tad frustrating, Noble had a couple of wobbles and the back line had cracks there but all in all it was a spirited performance and with more like this then we are getting somewhere. As long as we don't end up relegated or near the bottom of the table we can use this game as a benchmark of what the team can do.

Agreed, best for a long time.

We have played like that many times, but rarely for more than 45 mins.

Last night we maintained for the duration, and for the second season running, Hull can count themselves lucky to have got anything from either of their home games v us.

Of course Northern. I fully backed Allardyce until he went doolally around late December of last year.
He then morphed into a useless, arrogant cock.
If he gets us playing like he did last night consistently then it would be hard to have any qualms with the man.

Even his post match interview last night was like the Sam of old.

Lily... for the first time in almost forever that to me last night was a WEST HAM type team... even if we had lost I would have been buzzing this AM...

Yeah, but Kronic, if we keep on trying to play the right way, like last night, I mean really keep on trying, all season, then you'll support him right?

I will have NO PROBLEMS with him if we go like that the rest of the season... you can have that in Black Labrador blood if you like... however... I reckon once Nolan and Carroll are available it will be back to norm...

No need to be against him if we keep improving our style, is there?

I'm not going to praise that fat cunt. I made that mistake after Palace away and then had to endure two utterly pathetic performances..Would anyone be remotely surprised if we revert to utter tripe v the Scouse given his history?
Of course his arse kissers will blame the home fans should that be the case, but they're bigger cunts than he is.

Lily Hammer 10:25 Tue Sep 16
Re: Hull v West Ham - Official Match Thread 2-2 FT
Downing ran his nuts off. Blowing out his arse fgor the last 10/15 mins. Interesting central/free role he had last night. Nobody saw that coming. He might grow into that role.

I can't be harsh on anyone for the first goal. As said, tip your hat to a first class cross and a near perfect header. The second goal was classic West Ham shooting itself in the the foot.

Glad to see our spirit to get us level twice after falling behind twice.

Much bigger test at the weekend, but I reckon the lads will be up for it, likewise the crowd.

COYI!
